Wellness Design Services:

For our residential clients, we believe it’s all about feeling your very best in your personal sanctuary at home. We seek to create spaces that evoke a sense of peace, calm and joy. What that means and looks like is different for each of you because it depends on what your personal preferences and goals are. We approach our designs with the intention of creating spaces that reflect one’s individual Zen. Places where you can actively work on your overall health, longevity, and inner peace.

The short answer is YES! Being in a space that doesn’t invite feelings of calm and joy can actually have a negative physical impact on our overall health and wellbeing. Our home environment directly influences our mood so the proper environment can help alleviate depression, agitation, and promote sleep. The state in which we live can create or reduce stress, which in turn impacts our bodies, our brain, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems and how they function.

Not only does the way your home looks and is organized matter, but consider for a moment what materials your furnishings and décor are made up of. Are they natural and sustainable materials or are they made with harsh chemicals and synthetics? Research shows 96% of homes have at least one type of indoor air quality issue. According to the EPA, most of us spend 90% of our time indoors, exposed to air that is up to five times more polluted than outdoors. That can trigger allergies and asthma, affect child development, disrupt sleep and more. Three of the leading indoor air pollutants come from biological pollutants, formaldehyde/ pressed wood products (off-gassing), and indoor particulate matter. So responsibly sourced furnishings and décor does matter and so does a clean air filtration system.

What about lighting? Is your lighting soft and does it allow for the transition levels to stay in sync with your circadian rhythms to help promote sleep and reduce stress? We are spending so much time looking at blue light emitting screens between our phones and computers so balancing that with grounding colors we can find within our walls at home, art, plants and natural elements within our indoor/outdoor spaces is even more important when we’re all spending so much more time at home.

From in-home wellness suites utilizing responsibly sourced furniture and décor to state-of-the-art equipment, including options such as halotherapy/salt rooms, infrared saunas, meditation/sleep pods, red light therapy tools, clean air filtration, circadian lighting and much more. With many now working and teaching from home, we can design home office and teaching spaces that can help maintain a sense of balance for the entire family.  We maximize spaces to mix indoors and out and/or re-imagine existing spaces to create a home that reflects your personal wellness journey.
